Relax and Unwind in Scenic Berkshire Getaway

We had a great stay visiting family and friends in the area. The house was very clean, nicely decorated, and had a vintage Atari Centipede game which was fun for the whole family. It was exactly as advertised. The only issue we had was not being able to fit under the car port. It would fit a small SUV or sedan. Our Toyota sienna caravan would not fit and bc of a neighboring home owning part of the land in the driveway. We had to park in the street. Which, is fine in the spring, summer and fall. However, there is no on street parking during the winter. Overall, John was very responsive and the house is in a great location, walkable to the down town area.

This beautiful home was perfect for a friendly weekend get away. We were close to the museum and downtown. It was nice to walk places after a long car ride. I would highly recommend!

House is just as described….look at the many photos and you will know exactly what you are getting! Hosts were extremely communicative and helpful. We esp. appreciated the well-equipped kitchen and bedside reading lamps. Parking is a bit tricky: carport JUST large enough for my Tacoma… ..would be hard for anything larger. On-street parking is allowed. Fabulous location for visiting MASS MoCA and The Clark, which was our mission. Note that 3rd bedroom has a beanbag bed (we were told before we booked)….my friend reports it was comfortable. Would book again!

Nice place, very walkable to Mass MOCA and downtown. Parking was a little rough under the canopy, larger cars will have to park in the street. Arcade game was great! Neighborhood was quiet, apartment was clean and spacious. Very happy we stayed there. Would stay again.

What a joy to stay at John’s place with our family! The house had everything we needed and is super convenient to MassMOCA and the nearby restaurants. Plus a classic arcade game! John is an exceptional host and very quick to communicate and make sure all is well. We stayed an extra day it was so nice!

The house was clean, well laid out, comfortable and well-appointed. The location was great and a short walk to North Adams’ wonderful restaurants and shops — as well as Mass MoCA (which was the reason we chose the location). John and Regina were great and available to answer questions — communication was very clear. We travelled in winter and the house was cozy and warm and provided us with a needed retreat we intended. We have stayed at many AirBnbs in the past and this was a standout — clearly a lot of intention and thought went into the details here — I highly recommend this property and hope you enjoy your stay as much as we did!

We spent Thanksgiving here & it was perfect. The house is beautiful, stately & cozy. The knives are sharp, the towels are thick, & the hosts are gracious & responsive. Not hyperbole to say this was one of our best Airbnb experiences ever (& we’ve had a lot). Def recommended!

We had a wonderful stay at John & Regina’s place. They were very responsive before and during our stay; they made our late night arrival super easy; and the house is charming, comfortable, peaceful and very clean. We felt at home right away. Local activities and shopping are mostly a short drive or a moderate walk away. Their lovely home will be our first choice place to stay if we return to North Adams.

This was a great place for my family to visit the area for a few days. It is in a neighborhood, but only a few minutes from Mass Moca. The house has a nice, old New England feel with very comfortable furniture. Definitely a great affordable option for families/small groups to visit. John, the host, was easy to communicate with, friendly, and helpful. We would be happy to stay there again, if we ever return to the area.

John and Regina’s home in North Adams is the perfect base for skiing in MA and VT. The house is lovely! Everything is in excellent shape, clean, minimally decorated and yet warmly inviting. The place is perfect whether you want to stay in and cook at the excellent kitchen, or explore the town, including MassMoca. John and Regina were extremely kind, flexible with our checking out time, and had lots of helpful advice that made our stay a very relaxing experience. We look forward to coming back and thank John and Regina for being excellent hosts!

Very clean, cute house with everything we needed for our stay. Owners were VERY responsive and helpful. Great location for our needs (hiking part of the AT) and there are plenty of restaurants in the area.

Close to Mass MOCA great find
Staying at The Porches seemed great for the ideal location next to MassMoca, but this home only a couple blocks away worked even better for us. Easy check in with a very comfortable space made our stay exceptional. The best part for us was the space between the bedrooms and kitchen making early risers feel that they could make their coffee without disturbing anyone sleeping in. The kitchen is well stocked and easy to work in and we were so grateful for the many fans to keep the air moving on a very hot weekend in July. Our last minute booking went smoothly and communication with the host was easy.

We were so grateful to find this beautiful home a couple blocks from family. The hosts were amazing and went above and beyond to make sure our every need was met. We spent a lot of time at the house which fit the needs of our family including young children. The dining table easily seats 8, 10 or more with littles and extra seating available. From the fully stocked kitchen with higher end appliances to the quality bed and bathroom linens, comfy beds, tastefully decorated rooms, interesting book choices and games, our family felt at home from the moment we stepped inside. We particularly enjoyed the Centipede arcade game! On-site laundry and a surprise second bath pushed this listing to the top! They even provided Paul Mitchell shampoo and conditioner and “fun” eco-friendly paper products. Location is perfect within walking distance to Mass MOCA and the downtown shops & restaurants. Our kids were sad to leave and we look forward to staying here again during our next visit!

Our group of friends had an amazing time at John and Regina’s place! It’s super close to downtown North Adams and is a tastefully decorated cozy historic old house. It had everything we needed for a chill weekend escape in the Berkshires. John was so helpful and a pleasure to communicate with! We hope to come back soon!

It’s an old house, configuration could be a little strange to some people, BUT with that said kitchen had all updated appliances and the place was REALLY clean for being such an old house. It was cozy and homey and had everything we needed. Hosts were extremely responsive and helpful when needed. We would def stay again. If you’re looking for luxury don’t stay here, if you want comfortable and cozy this is your place. There is an office which we needed for my partner, who worked 5 days of our stay and WiFi was reliable and fast for his continuous zoom calls. Kitchen was well stocked with great sharp quality knives (respect the knives!!) and quality pots and pans. Great dishwasher and oven too. As it is a newer listing and hosts are also new to the game I’d recommend being very thorough with any questions, they are very responsive. Thanks for a wonderful stay!
